Earth & Balance: Sustainability at Equipoise
Balance is more than a promise, it is a quiet devotion to the earth. The rice fields whisper life into the soil, the water moves like breath through our spirit, and every grain, leaf, and breeze carries the essence of the land into an Ubud’s resort.
At Equipoise, sustainability is not an act but a rhythm, flowing through every element, sacred as the rituals that bind us to this land

Philosophy
In the heart of Ubud, Equipoise was born from an ancient Balinese truth, that life is balanced. The resort stands as a living story of harmony between nature, body, and spirit. Its form and shape, like a gentle snail, carry the wisdom of Rwa Bhineda, the eternal rhythm of joy and sorrow that defines our existence.
In the old tales, the snail is both friend and foe: too many may harm the rice fields, yet in balance, they give the land its fertility. From this humble lesson, Equipoise found its soul, guided by Dewa Sangkara, the God of Vegetation and Fertility, who blesses each leaf and breath of wind.
Every structure, crafted from earth’s own materials, echoes Tri Hita Karana, the harmony between humanity, nature, and the divine. Here, sustainability in hospitality is more than a philosophy. A breath of serenity and renewal is a way of locals, where balance is not sought but naturally becomes.
